Members of Get Real Health’s executive team have been invited to the White House four times in the last eight months!  Yesterday, President and Founding Partner Robin Wiener spent the morning with a group of local small business leaders and Small Business Administration and senior White House officials talking about the issues that are most critical to their companies’ success.

Among the important topics they discussed were immigration reform and how difficult it is for some small companies to get visas for their workers, new small business loans for veterans, the E-200 mini MBA-like program for small business owners, tax cuts, and the ways in which the Small Business Administration is working to connect big businesses with smaller ones.

“It was a productive discussion, with senior Obama Administration officials listening to our concerns.  Even though I’ve lived in the DC area for many years,” says Wiener, “it’s always exciting to visit 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.  To be a guest of the White House more than once is the dream of a lifetime.”
