Get Real Health’s Third Annual User Group kicked off on Sunday, September 18th with a welcome reception for attendees, speakers and Get Real Health Staff at the Hotel Monaco, the site of the three-day event.
When we originally contemplated the idea of a User Group, we were cautiously optimistic about the results. The ensuing years have proven the value to our partners, clients and company stakeholders as well and this year’s meeting—our largest to date—was no exception.
Day one featured an action packed line-up beginning with an informative Client Showcase. This session is an invaluable opportunity for attendees to hear real world tactics and strategies used when deploying our product line. A lively panel discussion on the topic of consumer engagement followed. Moderated by our Senior Healthcare Strategist, Christina Caraballo, our esteemed panel included:
- Kym Martin, Founder of 360 Degree Insights LLC, Four-time Cancer Survivor
- Erin Mackay, Associate Director of Health Information Technology Programs at the National Partnership for Women & Families
- Whitney Zatzkin, Managing Director of Flip the Clinic

The afternoon agenda commenced with the Get Real Health product roadmap session after which guest speaker Dr. Milton Chen, CEO of our partner Vsee, wrapped up the day’s presentations with an educational look at telehealth.

Guests joined Get Real Health staff members as they headed out for an evening dinner cruise along the Potomac River. All were invited to relax and enjoy the tour of monuments and landmarks offered as they set sail.
On Day 2 our technology partners really got to shine. Trae Moore, Enterprise Business Executive at Validic, gave an enlightening presentation on utilizing patient-generated data to monitor and improve patient outcomes.

Perhaps the most interactive portion of the event was the Patient Portal Strategy Challenge. Teams were formed and tasked with creating out of the box ways to use InstantPHR’s widgets. We got some fantastic feedback as the team took the challenge to heart!
