Software Business Analyst: Promoting Interoperability (PI)/Compliance
Job Description:
The software business analyst’s main duty is to serve as oversight on GRH/CPSI’s Promoting Interoperability requirements. Serving as the bridge between internal and external product stakeholders and software development teams to deliver technical solutions for business needs, the individual will be responsible to ensure the coordination and implementation of Federal Promoting Interoperability/Meaningful Use initiatives as applicable to GRH’s product offerings. Working collaboratively across business groups, the individual will create requirement documents with a focus on satisfaction of PI requirements, as well as identify gaps between product requirements and company standard software products. This is a critical role in our agile development process. They will also work directly with clients to ensure their PI software and documentation needs are met. You will work with great cross teams to design, implement and operationalize great processes and software solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Acting as a liaison with end-user clients during the development of software requirements, designs, and test procedures
- Possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills to provide optimal solutions
- Helping create Requirement Traceability Matrices from test procedures back to requirements and customer specifications
- History of writing and maintaining useful documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excels in environments of ambiguity, change, and rapid iteration
- Natural curiosity and a drive to understand complex concepts and systems, expanding scope beyond immediate areas of ownership
- Creative, flexible, positive problem solver who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent facilitator and communicator
- Familiar with agile processes and how to work well with a scrum team
- Developing user stories
- Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
- 3+ years’ experience as a business or technical analyst on a scrum team building client-facing software
- Proficiency with SDLC management tools, preferably JIRA
Promoting Interoperability/Meaningful Use Analysis:
- Promoting Interoperability
- Attend CPSI PI meetings and communicate necessary information to product development teams
- Coordinate PI activities with other CPSI product development teams as needed
- Review PI documentation from ONC and Drummond to determine compliance requirements for our products; provide Drummond quarterly updates
- Identify required product changes and create JIRA tickets for them
- Ensure GRH meets all PI deadlines
- Verify completion of PI development items and create test plans as needed
- Create customer-facing PI documentation and attestation letters as needed, including handling customer PI questions.
- Provide business analysis for PI-related customer-specific integrations and reporting needs
- Manage US data products consent and privacy compliance
- Data products include:
- Evident EMR customer-selected 3rd party applications (replacing existing legacy interface business)
- Patient-selected 3rd party applications as required by the anti-information blocking rules of the 21st Century Cures Act
- Forthcoming de-identified data products for new markets such as payers and pharma.
- Responsibilities include:
- Understand US consent and privacy requirements and ensure we comply with all relevant rules and regulations
- Establish vetting procedures for 3rd party compliance prior to enabling CPSI data connections
- Work with corporate counsel to create BAAs and other legal documents governing 3rd party relationships that include access to CPSI data
- Data products include:
- International compliance
- Understand compliance and privacy regulations in our international markets and ensure we comply with all relevant rules and regulations
