Making the Most of a Patient Portal

October 26, 2015Christina Nash

Tracking medical records, doctor appointments and prescriptions can be a minefield for patients. But it doesn’t have to be. With the right technology, patients can effectively participate in managing their health. And they are anxious to begin doing so.

Studies show that even with patient portals available, people experience gaps in information exchange among providers and facilities. The leading cause of the lapses are a result of multiple patient portals per patient without the ability to funnel the data from each into one central location.

The result of this “silo” effect? Wasted time, misdiagnosis and repeat procedures.

InstantPHR was designed specifically to bridge these gaps. This revolutionary platform can integrate with nearly any HIE, EHR or existing technology.  All patient data is retrieved from these varying sources and brought into InstantPHR creating a full profile in one place.

Patients are embracing the idea of online patient portals. Now is the time for the industry’s  to make it effective for all involved with products like InstantPHR.
