Yesterday marked the start of our first annual InstantPHR® User Group meeting. The event brought together a variety of healthcare organizations including hospital systems, nonprofits, HIEs, ambulatory clinics and several of our partners all who utilize InstantPHR. The goal was to share success stories, best product practices, and insights into how Get Real Health can look forward and improve usability.
The roundtable was borne of the idea to build a community that brings together InstantPHR users from a diverse spectrum of healthcare organizations to share their experiences and ideas to improve and innovate within the healthcare landscape. The User Group will provide a forum for free exchange of ideas to assist users in maximizing the value and productivity of their InstantPHR solution.
After a welcome from Robin Wiener, Get Real Health’s president and founding partner, attendees had the chance introduce themselves and share their personal experiences leveraging InstantPHR within their own systems.
Following client introductions, Cortney Nicolato, VP of Marketing and Strategy at Get Real Health, led a panel on best practices that engaged the audience in a discussion about onboarding and the importance of marketing, awareness, training and incentives before detailing the role that retention plays in InstantPHR. With real-world examples from attendees, the members of the panel stressed the importance of user “stickiness”–a term for getting users to repeatedly return to a site over time.
Following that panel, everyone–invited guests and Get Real Health participants alike–were riveted by the Keynote Speakers over lunch, Lana Moriarity, Acting Director, and Erin Siminerio, Senior Analyst, both from the Office of Consumer eHealth at the ONC. With Meaningful Use, patient engagement and policy at the forefront of care, both speakers were timely and informative.
The afternoon sessions included a web and mobile app demonstration of the latest version of InstantPHR, Q&A with Get Real Health’s trainers and an overview of the product’s future and focus.
Rounding out the day was a wonderful dinner for attendees, followed by a tour of the DC Monuments by trolley. A great time was had by all as evidenced in the pictures below. Stay tuned for a recap of day two tomorrow!
