Get Real Health is excited to see InstantPHR making significant impacts in the health IT industry. Angela Witt, Health Information Exchange Analyst at St. Luke’s University Health Network, shares how they are using InstantPHR to not only get their patients involved, but their employees as well.
St. Luke’s University Health Network has successfully rolled out InstantPHR to all primary care, pediatric, and internal medicine offices for outpatients with great results. They have also leveraged InstantPHR for their employee wellness program as a way for employees and their families to participate in the platform. Including the employees in InstantPHR has really helped collect data whether it is biometrics, blood pressure readings or body mass index (BMI). 94% of St. Luke’s employees also completed an online health assessment that shows an overview of their total health risks.
“I’m mostly excited about the roadmap of [InstantPHR] and what new things are coming out,” Witt said.
Get Real Health loves to see success stories and how InstantPHR has helped healthcare organizations.

St. Luke’s has five campuses in its network that are attesting for Meaningful Use. For the 90 day attestation period between July and September, these campuses did not only meet but exceeded the required 5% VDT (view, download, or transmit) action with VDT percentages ranging from 9-16%.
St. Luke’s VDT success is attributed to their patient recruitment and onboarding efforts which can be seen in the variety of tactics used, including clinically initiating portal sign up at registration, using student interns for bedside enrollment and including marketing materials in patient discharge packets.
