HIMSS16 Sessions We’re Looking Forward to Attending

February 24, 2016Christina Nash

HIMSS16: The excitement is building

Our inner geek is getting pretty psyched for all the great sessions scheduled for HIMSS16. From policy based symposiums to connectivity and security themed seminars, HIMSS has something for everyone.

At HIMSS15, the focus was on the importance of patient engagement and creating patient-centered health solutions. This year, HIMSS seems to be honing in on the practical ways to achieve that engagement and subsequently, portal retention.  For example, we can’t wait to attend, “Patient Engagement: The Next Chapter” as we springboard from last year’s agenda.

A group of sessions including, “A Connected Hospital and Connected Community Partnership” focusing on connectivity and exchange are on our radar as well. Because our products  have helped major hospital systems achieve their connectivity and engagement goals, this is a topic we are passionate about.

However, we know there is much to be gained from real world experience. In fact, client feedback guides our product roadmap and upgrade plans. The symposium mirroring that, “Lessons Learned and Best Practices from Rural Medicine,” is another we are planning to check out.

Because we are entrenched in Meaningful Use and policy governing Health IT, there are a number of sessions we are looking forward to. Having been invited to participate in White House Roundtables on this topic, we know the landscape is continually evolving. These sessions will be an informative round-up of relevant topics from governmental agencies responsible for regulating the industry and setting interoperability standards.

Most importantly, we are thrilled to be among the people that share our passion for empowering patients and healthier outcomes. HIMSS always promises insightful content and robust dialogue, not only because attendees are the best and brightest in the industry, but because we share a common objective.

Let’s get the conversation started…Visit us in Booth 12313 and follow us on twitter @GetReal_Health.
