You have to be a pretty cool customer to work in QA, and Tommy is just that. We sat down and chatted with him about working at Get Real Health, a few quick facts, and of course, two truths and a lie.
Two Truths and a Lie
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA
I am an only child
I am a cat person
A Little Q&A
Q: How would you summarize what you do?
A: I oversee all of the QA operations for Get Real Health products. This consists of managing a team of 15 testers, managing client relationships, defining and scoping efforts, establishing processes and best practices, and being an active member of the product team as we grow and evolve our family of products.
Q: Can you tell us a few details about the favorite part of your job?
A: The best thing about working at Get Real for me has always been learning new technologies and getting to expand my skill set. There is a constant push in our organization to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and make use of anything we can find that helps us to operate better or more efficiently. Also we cover a more extensive range of testing types than anywhere else I’ve ever worked. I’ve gotten to work with automation testing, security testing, accessibility testing, and currently I’m learning about performance testing. There’s just always something new. It definitely keeps things interesting!
Q: What makes you want to stay at our organization? What do you like about our company culture?
A: I really value and respect the people in our organization and the amazing work that they’ve done and continue to do. I feel a personal connection amongst this group that is not common in many workplaces. It allows us to really be ourselves, which gives us more room to be creative. And furthermore, the work we do is important and touches a lot of people. I feel that no one at Get Real takes that lightly, and to be a part of something that big to me is very rewarding.
