Get Real Consulting becomes “Get Real Health”
Maryland-based health tech pioneer sees big jump in 2012 YTD revenue and license sales
Rockville, Maryland – November 8, 2012 — Since deploying its game-changing InstantPHR™ product over the past two years, Get Real Consulting realized it has changed businesses — from providing professional consulting and custom Web development services for clients, to developing and marketing an amazing product in the health care information technology space.
The result: a new name, a new logo, and a redefined brand that reflects Get Real’s role in the health care technology marketplace.
“We were Get Real Consulting for many years, but our name doesn’t match what we do anymore,” explains Robin Wiener, president and founding partner. “We’re no longer consultants. We are truly a health care product development company.”
Results-Oriented Roots
Wiener says the “Get Real” name has its roots in the philosophy she and partners Mark Heaney and Jason Harmon brought to the business from day one.
“We’ve seen tech companies talk a lot but not get things done,” she says. “We have always believed in ‘getting real and getting it done’ — taking action, following through, and making things happen. The ‘Get Real’ portion of our name means we’re focusing on what’s really happening and what’s important.”
Consulting and product development are two different industries in the health care technology world, Wiener notes. While Get Real will always honor its consulting roots, the company has clearly shifted into selling and supporting its InstantPHR™ product as Get Real Health.
“Our deep expertise in the consumer health field is even reflected in our logo,” says Wiener. “The inner ring signifies our focus on patients, the outer ring reflects our focus on providers, and the middle ring connects the two together as we ‘get real’ and deploy our InstantPHR™ technology to create revolutionary benefits for health care consumers and providers.”
Get Real Health will continue providing professional services, but it will be in the context of helping customers deploy its InstantPHR™ product, as an expert and leader in consumer health.
“Get Real Health is bringing health care back to patients and connecting them with their physicians,” explains Wiener.
Outstanding Growth
Get Real Health recently posted a 50 percent increase in YTD revenue, and a 224 percent increase in license sales through the third quarter, far exceeding annual projections.
“This unprecedented growth is a testament to the shift in the way patients, physicians and hospitals manage both chronic and preventative medicine,” says Wiener. “Thanks to our existing relationships with Microsoft, TELUS, and MedStar, we are scaling our capabilities to market, and selling and servicing our consumer and provider solutions leveraging InstantPHR™,” says Wiener.
As the award-winning consumer health pioneer behind InstantPHR™ — a tool for conveniently connecting digital health management to everyday life — Get Real’s rapid growth shows that health care providers and consumers are increasingly turning to technology to power sorely-needed reform and innovation.
InstantPHR™ (PHR stands for personal health record) seamlessly connects to any provider health information system, empowering consumers to access health information, health tools, provider-directed care plans, connected health management devices, secure messaging, alerts and reminders across a common user interface spanning PCs, tablets, iPads, and smartphone OS platforms.
Get Real is also a strategic innovation partner to many of the most prominent health care and provider organizations in the world, developing core consumer health applications for both U.S. and international organizations.
U.S. examples include AARP, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, Microsoft, Integris Health System in Oklahoma and D.C./Maryland firms like MedStar Health, M3 Information LLC (WhatsMyM3), and LiveHealthier.
International clients and healthcare providers include Lawson Health Research Institute and TELUS Health™ in Canada; plus South London and Maudsley NHS Trust (SLaM), University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and more around the world.
“We fully expect this upward trend to continue as providers reap the benefits of government incentives, lower readmission rates and better health outcomes and longevity for patients overall,” says Wiener. “Our re-branding as Get Real Health will channel our growth and clarify our ‘get results’ role as a product provider in the health care information marketplace.”
