Get Real Health CEO Mark Heaney is excited about what he saw at the Caradigm Client Collaboration Event held last month in Bellevue, Washington. “They’ve been a great partner with us,” he said. “We’ve worked closely together on delivering integrated solutions that leverage the strengths of both of our products.”
Caradigm was formed in June 2012 as a 50-50 joint venture between Microsoft and GE Healthcare to develop and market an open technology platform and collaborative clinical applications that help providers use data to transform care. Get Real Health is working on developing solutions involving Caradigm’s Amalga product and Get Real Health’s InstantPHR™.
“Caradigm appears to really have retained the best elements of both GE Healthcare and Microsoft,” said Heaney. “It’s continuing GE Healthcare’s deep focus on serving healthcare organizations and its understanding of the healthcare market, as well as Microsoft’s strengths in platform software development and engineering.”
Heaney said he is also excited about the future of Amalga and feels that planned product enhancements will enable Caradigm’s partners and customers to build their own applications on top of the Amalga platform — and he’s looking forward to demonstrating integrated care management solutions with Caradigm during HIMSS13 (March 3–7 in New Orleans).
Get Real Health and Caradigm work closely together in go to market strategies, educating potential customers about the companies’ offerings, and implementing solutions in a unified manner so that customers experience the implementation team as a single, seamless unit using the same implementation methodology, framework, and process.
“I’m extremely impressed with Caradigm’s management of the team, their experience in the healthcare world, and their clarity of vision around healthcare management,” said Heaney. “Their focus on execution, product improvement, and attention to customer feedback reinforces my confidence in and commitment to our relationship.”
Get Real Health’s InstantPHR™ product builds on Amalga’s data aggregation capabilities by extending that data to the patient, making the patient part of his own care team so he has access to his health information and can participate in his care. InstantPHR™ connects with Amalga so data can flow out to the patient and then back into Amalga, helping providers focus their follow-up calls on those patients who most need attention.
“Most people don’t realize how many information systems hospitals have,” observed Heaney. “Amalga aggregates that data and gives doctors consolidated views they can then use to help improve care and outcomes. It also helps hospital administrators analyze and improve performance across departments and systems. We’re proud to have a role in connecting patients to their care using InstantPHR™, since that helps the entire healthcare system work better for all stakeholders.”
