With another Get Real Health User Group in the books, we never cease to be amazed at the synergy these sessions generate. A true testament to our clients and partners!
The event kicked off Thursday, September 14th at Palomar Hotel, in Washington DC where clients from all over the globe convened to get product updates, share best practices and enjoy some good old fashioned fun with the Get Real Health team.
Speaking of product updates, the team showcased the new look and feel of InstantPHR coming in 2018 as well as updates to care management features and our work on FHIR. Other highlights included a panel discussion on Health IT: A Global Viewpoint moderated by John Sharp Senior Manager, PCHA/HIMSS and featuring a variety of panelists representing every aspect of the Health IT arena. The focus groups and mini-huddles are always productive and this year was no exception as the exchange of ideas was lively.
Because all work and no play is not how our User Group rolls, the day was capped off with dinner and bowling. Talk about lively!
Everyone returned the next morning refreshed and ready to share and learn. After breakfast, Tomi Ogundimu from the internationally recognized healthcare consulting firm, The Advisory Board, addressed the group in a session entitled, The Shared Accountability Care Model. The day rounded it out with session on Artificial Intelligence, Engaging and Retaining Patients and the benefits of our open, flexible platform.
“Having all these great minds in the same room discussing how to better engage and empower patients is the culmination of our work here,” said Robin Wiener, President and CEO of Get Real Health. “I think our team ends up learning as much from our customers and guests as they do from us, which is right in line with our collaborative approach to business and health care.”
