Jason Harmon, Get Real Health CTO & founding partner, demonstrated InstantPHR™ as part of the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase for attendees at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health and HIMSS Middle East Conference & Exhibition, held April 13–14 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
“Attendees were excited to see that our solution natively supports Arabic, unlike most patient portals that don’t readily support localization,” said Jason. “They were also enthusiastic about InstantPHR’s ability to integrate with clinical data systems and our capacity to very quickly stand-up a fully native-localized Arabic version of our product using InstantPHR’s full features content management system.”
Jason noted that, from a public health perspective, countries in the region have a growing need for patient engagement. As in the U.S., there is a high incidence of lifestyle diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, so medical providers need to be able to coordinate care and interact with patients.
“The region has a strong need for the type of patient engagement tools we provide,” said Jason.
The event drew representatives from the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health, as well as many attendees from other countries throughout the region. For program details and photos, visit: http://www.himssme.org/moh14/index.aspx.
