The TELUS Baby Health app makes it easy to store your baby’s health history in one place so you can access it anytime, like at a doctor’s visit. Use the app to track important medical information such as growth, immunization, and milestones, and to hear helpful tips from weekly articles.

Challenge

TELUS Health aimed to drive digital health adoption among consumers in Canada and increase the availability of educational resources for new parents through the power of technology.

Solution

Get Real Health was tasked with creating a mobile health app that would assist new parents in tracking their baby’s health information from birth. Using both CHBase and InstantPHR, Get Real Health developed the TELUS Baby Health app. The app pushes important age-appropriate content to new parents and allows them to mark developmental milestones and track health information all in one secure platform.  The app launched in tandem with a TELUS partnership with The Baby Box Co. where TELUS-branded Baby Boxes provide a physical safe sleeping space. The safe sleep space is available to all expectant and new parents through The Baby Box Co.’s educational platform upon completion of a course on safe sleep best practices.

Benefits

TELUS has empowered parents to be proactive about taking control of their children’s health information and managing it through a convenient app. This type of engagement helps keep parents informed and prepared when they interact with doctors, pharmacists and other caregivers, thus enabling the potential for better health outcomes overall. The app is offered nationally across Canada for free and is available in both English and French.

Relevance
