CRISP is a regional Health Information Exchange with the goal of enabling and supporting the healthcare community of Maryland and surrounding region to appropriately and securely share data in order to facilitate care, reduce costs, and improve health outcomes.
With new labs frequently coming on board to perform COVID-19 testing, CRISP and the Maryland Department of Health needed a way to deliver all of a patients COVID-19 results in a centralized portal, regardless of the resulting lab or provider.
Get Real Health has implemented a Patient Portal which users can leverage to access COVID-19 results provided to CRISP by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH). Leveraging the portal streamlines data access for all patients with an account in the system regardless of the lab or provider reporting results. In addition to this centralized test result data, the site also offers patients Maryland Department of Health approved guidelines and links to further inform patients about the status of COVID-19.
The primary benefit of the platform is allowing users to access test results in one secure location even if those tests were performed over time in a multitude of facilities. All results reported to the Maryland Department of Health, as mandated by law, will be available to patients in one sign-on.
Due to the criticality and trending of the COVID-19 pandemic, the timing and speed of delivery was especially important. The portal was delivered in very tight time constraints to ensure the benefits were realized by the community served by CRISP and the Maryland Department of Health as soon as possible.
