2020 is Off to a Great Start

February 26, 2020Amanda Wright

If the first quarter of the year is any indication, we are going to be very busy in 2020 spreading the word about patient engagement in both the United States and abroad.

“We really feel that we are on the precipice of a tangible shift in how healthcare is being perceived across the globe,” said Get Real Health Senior Vice President, Mark Heaney, “and we are uniquely positioned to speak to that shift and help organizations understand that empowering patients benefits them from both a medical and financial standpoint.”

Mark expanded on that premise through his recent presentation at Health Datapalooza in Washington DC, “New CPT Codes Represent a Shift Toward Patient-Generated Data.” The talk highlighted the latest changes in CPT codes to include things like remote patient monitoring and the ways practitioners can take advantage of these updates.

“I was pleased to see so many folks come out for my session,” said Heaney. “The CMS document is unwieldy at best and I really wanted to break this portion of it down in simpler terms and expand on the importance of these changes.”

If you missed Mark’s presentation, fear not! We will be releasing a video soon. Mark also spoke on the topic of patient engagement when interviewed by SuperbCrew in the beginning of February. SuperbCrew is a tech news website covering innovative tech and internet companies and we were honored to be featured.

On the global front, Get Real Health was honored to be included in the Maryland Department of Commerce attending Arab Health 2020 in January. Traveling to Dubai with Maryland Lt. Governor, Boyd Rutherford, were President Robin Wiener and Genie Saleh, Director Of Global Business Development.

“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to be in the Maryland booth at Arab Health and showcase what our company has to offer. Having come up through the state Incubator program, we are proof that when small businesses have the backing of local and state government, it can mean the difference between failure and success.”

Get Real Health joined ten other Maryland based companies at Arab Health and had the opportunity to demo products and expose new markets to our products.

Next up is HIMSS 2020 in Orlando March 9th-13th. Our team will be in Booth 1259 with our parent company CPSI as well as attending sessions, networking events and demos of our products.  Schedule a meeting with Get Real Health today.

“HIMSS is always the best opportunity to catch up with old industry friends as well as expand our client base,” says Wiener. “The week is a whirlwind but our team is ready to hit the ground running and make it the best one yet!”

And 2020 is shaping up to be quite a year as well. We are excited to see where it takes us.
